Overview

Tesseract accelerates the success of Polygon grant recipients through tailored advisory, marketing, business development, and community support using our “Track & Funnel” method. Addressing discoverability and network challenges for early-stage Web3 projects while teaching recipients how to sustain growth after graduation. It empowers them with strategic guidance, speaking opportunities, and collaborations with key partners like QuickSwap, Cookie3, and Dabl Club, aligning with Polygon’s mission to foster a strong builder community.

Key Achievements

  1. Established Goals: Created project-specific goals for the Tesseract Track and aligned them with project roadmaps and grant milestones to drive Polygon ecosystem impact.

  2. Ecosystem Partner Integration: Connected projects to QuickSwap for DeFi, Cookie3 for analytics, and Dabl Club for dev-rel, accelerating collaboration and ecosystem growth.

  3. Speaking Opportunities: Secured speaking slots for projects on The Aggregated X Spaces, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord, boosting cohort exposure and credibility.

  4. Content Creation: Produced evergreen content via storytelling animations and social media assets, enhancing engagement.

  5. Conducted Marketing Audits: Completed project-specific marketing audits for all cohortees and conducted individual meetings to review and discuss opportunities for improvement.

  6. Executed Cohort Social Campaigns: Engaged the Polygon community through interactive challenges on X, Discord, and Telegram to elevate grant recipient visibility and drive ecosystem adoption, achieving 122,637 social media engagements and significantly boosting project awareness and participation.

  1. Vyper: Developed Storytelling Animation and Organized a Hackathon

-Increased project awareness and enhanced social media engagement by designing and delivering a custom, evergreen storytelling animation detailing Vyper’s vision.

-Collaborated with DoraHacks and Dabl Club to prepare a sponsored hackathon to encourage developer activity using Vyper’s tech stack.

-Participated in speaking opportunities on The Aggregated X Spaces, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord.

  1. Xerberus: Implemented Founder Marketing Strategy

-Developed a comprehensive founder-focused marketing strategy to boost the founder’s industry reputation and establish the company as an industry thought leader.

-Integrated with Cookie3, Hashlock, and QuickSwap, and participated in speaking opportunities at The Aggregated X Spaces, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord.

  1. MintStars: Secured Privacy Partnership with Secret Network

-Initiated a partnership with Secret Network to enhance creator privacy within their platform.

-Participated in speaking opportunity at Web3/adult industry episode of The Aggregated X Spaces

-Accompanied MintStars at ETH Denver and facilitated meetings between key industry thought leaders, builders, and project contacts.

  1. Empire of Sight: Launched Game Demo on Polygon Discord

-Organized and executed a game-play playtest on Polygon Discord to garner Polygon community support and increase product anticipation.

-Made inroads with TrustSwap for a potential token launch via their launchpad, integrated with Cookie3 (blockchain data analytics) and QuickSwap

-Participated in speaking opportunities at Medieval Empire and Planet IX X Spaces.

  1. Ensuro: Identified Opportunities to Establish DeFi Synergies

-Opened communication channels with QuickSwap leadership to achieve broader investor exposure for Ensuro’s yield-generating token.

-Participated in speaking opportunities at The Aggregated and Multichain Man X Spaces to raise project awareness.

  1. Q/Acc: Whitelisted Q/Acc Launched Tokens on QuickSwap

-Achieved broader investor exposure for Q/Acc launched tokens on Polygon PoS via the facilitation of QuickSwap whitelisting.

-Secured a pitching position at BitAngels’ ETH Denver, and participated in speaking opportunities at The Aggregated, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord.

  1. Fuse: Developed Storytelling Animation and Established Hackathon Plans

-Increased project awareness and enhanced social media engagement by designing and delivering a custom, evergreen storytelling animation detailing Fuse’s vision.

-Connected with Dabl Club in preparation for future hackathons, set up with Cookie3, and participated in speaking opportunities at The Aggregated, Multichain Man, and Web3 Hangout X Spaces.

  1. Danketsu: Established Networking Relationship with Animoca Brands

-Increased investor network by facilitating an introduction to Animoca Brands.

-Integrated with Cookie3 and participated in speaking opportunities at The Aggregated, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord.

  1. Faith Tribe: Tailored Marketing Support and Ecosystem Visibility

-Secured speaking opportunities for Faith Tribe at The Aggregated X Spaces, Multichain Man, and Polygon Discord.

-Connected with QuickSwap, ApeBond, and Ensuro to explore potential DeFi synergies and collaborations.

  1. Wen Markets: Designed, produced, and delivered Storytelling Animation

-Increased project awareness and enhanced social media engagement by designing and delivering a custom, evergreen storytelling animation detailing Wen Market’s vision.

-Hosted and joined events as deputized Wen Markets members.

(* Please note that each of these achievements were only highlights during S1, and that many other achievements were accomplished during the season. These highlights showcase Tesseract’s ability to navigate many different types of acceleration hurdles. Additionally, Tesseract hosted multiple community events to highlight the achievements of each Tesseract project during the season. )

Cohort Satisfaction Surveys

Purpose: To evaluate cohort support effectiveness for grant recipients and use feedback to further improve the experience and impact of future Tesseract cohorts.

Cohort Feedback:

-Tesseract achieved a 90% overall satisfaction rating from Season 1 Polygon grant recipients, surpassing the initial 80% target.

-86% of projects reported increased confidence in moving forward independently after completing the Tesseract Track after receiving a 4.4/5 average marketing audit quality score.

-100% recommending the program to other grantees.

-86% confirmed their Account Executive facilitated tangible and practical integration into the Polygon ecosystem.

Process Improvement Opportunities

  1. Streamline Cohort Onboarding: Create standardized, comprehensive documentation to guide grantees through Tesseract’s onboarding process, serving as a reference to ensure efficient integration.
  2. Tailored Support for Bandwidth-Constrained Projects: Offer light support resources to accommodate projects with limited capacity, maximizing their ability to execute marketing audit recommendations.
  3. Implement Internship Program: Will amplify Tesseract’s impact on grant recipients while cultivating a skilled talent pool for Polygon’s Web3 ecosystem growth.
  4. Guide and foster collaboration between all Polygon Ecosystem Pipeline participants to ensure growth opportunities for Polygon builders in every stage of development.

A Note from Aztec:

Polygon leadership and builders alike want to see opportunities for all builders at every development project stage. Although Tesseract focused on Polygon Grant Recipients in S1, we realized that many builders need more support than Polygon Labs can give individual teams launching or migrating to Polygon. Unfortunately, this is a massive missed opportunity because once teams receive grants, they often leave to the next chain for another grant or never become fully integrated.

Our goal, while directly working with each team, building custom cohort roadmaps, and discussing the overall landscape with other ecosystem pipeline contributors, is to change the status quo by integrating teams and providing them with a sticky home so they can have the opportunity to thrive.

Additionally, we aim to bridge 100x community members into ecosystem roles across the Polygon ecosystem with our Tesseract Internship program in S2. It could be a valuable way to benefit the community and builders simultaneously.

I’ve had plenty of conversations with Polygon leadership about how we can flesh out our ecosystem pipeline so that builders feel more supported. Working alongside everyone in S1 has given me a unique perspective. I see that we have all or most of the ecosystem pipeline already established, but we can use a glue-like group of individuals to ensure everyone is working together, helping foster builders’ growth during all stages of their development.
