Had USDC on poly network sent it to coinbase and paid the miner fee in polygon matic and then it promptly vanished, thought that converted it to Ethereum USDC?

Iām aware, but this was sending from one coinbase to another and i assumed the ethereum necessary would convert the USDC to the ethereum network. Not to mention I have some other transactions lost. Can I get help or will I just never be using polygon currencies again?
