So I was sending a domain name to an address, not realizing it was on a different blockchain. So it was sent to a polygon address that seems to be idle. Does anyone know if there is a way to recover it? I have found it on etherscan

Hi. I am not sure I understand what happened.
Polygon addresses and Ethereum addresses are exactly the same!
So if you are in control of the receiving address you just need to add some eth (assuming that you sent it on Ethereum mainnet) and transfer it back.

Sounds like you sent it to an address that’s not yours. You’d have to get in touch with that wallet owner and ask them to send it back.
