PWWS – A Real-Time Wallet Warning System to Prevent Crypto Scams

Hello Polygon Community :waving_hand:

I’m excited to share my project Personal Wallet Warning Signal (PWWS) — an innovative blockchain-security solution designed to protect users from crypto scams before they happen.

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Problem

Every day, thousands of crypto users lose their funds by sending transactions to fraudulent personal wallets, phishing schemes, or fake investment addresses.
Most existing wallets only focus on usability, not transaction safety.

:light_bulb: Solution

PWWS adds a real-time risk-detection layer that:

  • Analyzes the destination address before a transaction is confirmed;

  • Detects links to scam, mixer, or phishing wallets;

  • Alerts users with a “Strong Warning” if risk factors are found;

  • Helps prevent irreversible losses at the source.

:puzzle_piece: Technical Direction

The system can be integrated into existing Web3 wallets (like MetaMask or TrustWallet) or used through APIs for exchanges and DeFi platforms.
PWWS is currently in prototype phase and we are preparing for next-step collaborations with security partners.

:globe_with_meridians: Ecosystem Fit

We believe Polygon — with its strong developer community and high-scalability ecosystem — is an ideal environment to expand this protection layer and make crypto transactions safer for everyone.

:speech_balloon: What We’re Looking For

  • Feedback and suggestions from the Polygon community;

  • Potential grant or partnership opportunities for further development;

  • Contacts or introductions to Web3 security experts.

This sounds really promising! A real-time wallet warning system could be a game-changer for preventing crypto scams. I like the idea of getting instant alerts before any suspicious transaction goes through—it could save a lot of people from losing funds. Curious to know how it detects scams in real time and how reliable the alerts are.

Hi tarunnagar! Thank you for your feedback — I really appreciate it. :folded_hands:

Here is how PWWS (Personal Wallet Warning Signal) detects risks in real time:

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: 1. Address Classification System

PWWS checks every wallet before the user sends funds:

  • Known scam addresses

  • Blacklisted wallets

  • Fake exchange wallets

  • Recently created suspicious EOAs

  • High-risk transaction patterns

:high_voltage: 2. Real-time Risk Scanning

When the user enters a wallet address, PWWS instantly analyzes:

  • On-chain behavior

  • Previous history

  • Risk score

  • Whether it belongs to a trusted exchange or a personal wallet

Users get an instant Safe / Warning / High-Risk alert before sending funds.

:bullseye: 3. Reliability of the Alerts

Alerts are based on:

  • Multiple data sources

  • Known scam patterns

  • Address reputation

  • Transaction clustering

The goal is to reduce human error and warn users BEFORE a bad transaction happens.

If you’re interested, I can share more technical details or the architecture diagram as well.
Thanks again for your interest — your feedback means a lot!
