Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta Sunset: Claim Your Funds

On July 1, 2026, Polygon Labs will sunset the Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta sequencer.

We first announced this timeline in June 2025, giving the community a full 12 months of notice before the start of the claim process.

This is the final reminder: if you hold assets on zkEVM Mainnet Beta, now is the time to migrate funds. Wallet-held funds that aren’t bridged before July 1 will be auto-migrated to Ethereum L1 and claimable through a dedicated interface.

Funds locked in DeFi protocols cannot be auto-migrated. Polygon does not own, operate, or control any decentralized applications or DeFi protocols on zkEVM. Once the sequencer sunset, transactions will no longer be processed, which will affect the functionality of all protocols and applications built on it. We strongly recommend protocol teams and users migrate liquidity, unwind positions, and move assets before July 1.

What to do:

If you hold assets in a wallet: Bridge to Ethereum now at ui.agglayer.dev.

If you have funds in a DeFi protocol: Withdraw from those contracts and bridge to Ethereum before July 1.

If you are a protocol team with locked TVL: Unwind user positions or provide a withdrawal path before July 1. Fill out this form if you need assistance from the Polygon DeFi team: [Polygon Contact Form

Key dates:

Now through July 1, 2026: Bridge your assets to Ethereum at ui.agglayer.dev. The chain and bridge are fully operational.

July 1, 2026: Sequencer sunsets. Exit snapshot will be taken of remaining onchain wallet balances.

After July 1: Claim UI published for wallet-held assets not bridged before sunset and not locked in a DeFi protocol. Assets will be considered abandoned after December 31, 2027.
