These PIP Bounty Program Terms and Conditions (these “PIP Bounty Terms”) govern all Polygon Improvement Proposals (“PIPs”) that are submitted by you to Polygon Labs Deployment (Cayman) Ltd. or any of its affiliates (collectively, “Polygon Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) in accordance with these PIP Bounty Terms (the “PIP Bounty Program”). The Polygon Labs Terms of Use (the “Terms of Use”) are incorporated by reference into these PIP Bounty Terms. In the event of a conflict between these PIP Bounty Terms and the Terms of Use, the terms of these PIP Bounty Terms will prevail. By participating in the PIP Bounty Program, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these PIP Bounty Terms.
For information regarding our collection, use and disclosure of personal data and certain other data, please see our Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”). By participating in the PIP Bounty Program, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of personal data and other data as outlined in the Privacy Policy and these PIP Bounty Terms.
1. ELIGIBILITY
In order to participate in the PIP Bounty Program, eligible participants should submit PIPs in accordance with the PIP Purpose and Guidelines. PIPs that have already been submitted by another user are not eligible for bounty awards. In order to be eligible to participate in the PIP Bounty Program you must:

be of legal age in the jurisdiction in which you reside and you must have the legal capacity to enter into, and be bound by, these PIP Bounty Terms if you are participating in the PIP Bounty Program as an individual;

have the legal authority to accept these PIP Bounty Terms on the applicable entity’s behalf, in which case “you” (except as used in this paragraph) will mean the foregoing entity if you are participating in the PIP Bounty Program as an entity;

not be a current or former (within 6 months) employee, vendor, contractor, or agent for Polygon Labs;

not be a resident, national, or agent of Crimea and Sevastopol, Luhansk, Donetsk, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, or any other country to which the United States, the United Kingdom, or the European Union embargoes goods or imposes similar sanctions; and
-
not be a member of any sanctions list or equivalent maintained by the United States government, the United Kingdom government, the European Union, or the United Nations.
Polygon Labs reserves the right to limit or refuse your eligibility to participate in the PIP Bounty Program for any reason in its sole discretion, including but not limited to where your participation is prohibited by any domestic or foreign law, rule, statute, regulation, by-law, order, protocol, code, decree, or another directive, requirement, or guideline, published or in force that applies to or is otherwise intended to govern or regulate any person, property, transaction, activity, event or other matter, including any rule, order, judgment, directive or other requirement or guideline issued by any domestic or foreign federal, provincial or state, municipal, local or other governmental, regulatory, judicial or administrative authority having jurisdiction over Polygon Labs, you, the Site or the Services, or as otherwise duly enacted, enforceable by law, the common law or equity (collectively, “Applicable Laws”). If Polygon Labs becomes aware of any violation of these PIP Bounty Terms or the Terms of Use, Polygon Labs may elect to, among other things; (a) withhold, amend, or cancel the benefits of or payments under the PIP Bounty Program, or (b) require the return of any payment made to you, including taking any action at law to obtain such payment. Polygon Labs reserves the right to determine whether a PIP is eligible for a payment under the PIP Bounty Program in its sole discretion.
4. PAYMENTS
Payment amounts for selected PIPs will be at the sole discretion of Polygon Labs and will be payable in USDC to a wallet address provided by the PIP submitter in writing. Factors considered in determining the payment amount may include but are not limited to, the quality of the proposal, the complexity of the PIP, and whether an implementation of the PIP is provided.
5. PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION
Polygon Labs reserves the right to administer the PIP Bounty Program in its sole discretion. In addition:

Polygon Labs hereby reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the PIP Bounty Program at any time with or without prior notice or consent.

Any questions relating to eligibility, these PIP Bounty Terms, or the PIP Bounty Program will be resolved by Polygon Labs in Polygon Labs’ sole discretion and its decision will be final and binding with respect thereto. If it is determined by Polygon Labs that you have violated these PIP Bounty Terms, then Polygon Labs may disqualify you from any PIP Bounty Program payments or benefits in its sole discretion.

Polygon Labs reserves the right to make awards that do not comply with every requirement herein, such as your failure to provide a PIP which meets all the criteria of the PIP Purpose and Guidelines or your failure to submit your PIP through the correct channel. Awards made pursuant to such exceptions made by Polygon Labs do not constitute any waiver by Polygon Labs of any other terms and conditions set forth herein.
6. PRIVACY
Because we cannot pay recipients who are subject to sanctions, and we will require certain identifying information for tax matters relating to awards, recipients of awards pursuant to the PIP Bounty Program will need to identify themselves to Polygon Labs in order to claim the bounty. However, if you request, we will not disclose your identity publicly. By participating in the PIP Bounty Program, you hereby (a) grant to Polygon Labs the right to use your Personal Information (as defined below) for the purpose of administering the PIP Bounty Program; (b) grant to Polygon Labs the right to use your Personal Information for publicity, promotional, marketing and advertising purposes relating to the PIP Bounty Program, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation unless prohibited by Applicable Laws; and (c) acknowledge that Polygon Labs may disclose your Personal Information to its third-party agents and service providers in connection with any of the foregoing activities. Polygon Labs will use your Personal Information only for the identified purposes and as contemplated in the Privacy Policy. “Personal Information” means your name, country of residence, email address, and any other information you provide to Polygon Labs. At your option, “Personal Information” shall not include your legal name but shall instead include your pseudonym.
7. RELEASE AND PUBLICITY
YOU AGREE TO RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS POLYGON LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, SUPPLIERS, DISTRIBUTORS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIM OR CAUSE OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM AND/OR ANY DETERMINATION MADE ABOUT YOUR ELIGIBILITY IN THE PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM OR ANY PAYMENT THEREUNDER THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE DUE TO YOU. YOU AGREE THAT POLYGON LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, SUPPLIERS, DISTRIBUTORS, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INJURIES, LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM AND ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION AND USE OF THE BENEFITS OR PAYMENTS RECEIVED UNDER THE PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM. POLYGON LABS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TYPOGRAPHICAL OR OTHER ERROR IN THE PUBLICATION OF THESE PIP BOUNTY TERMS OR ADMINISTRATION OF THE PIP BOUNTY PROGRAM OR ANNOUNCEMENT THEREOF.
8. TAXES
You will be solely responsible for all income tax liabilities that arise from or in any way relate to any benefit or payment that Polygon Labs conveys to you, including income taxes, sales, personal property, use, VAT, excise, withholding and self-employment taxes. Polygon Labs has the right to withhold from any amounts payable to you such foreign, federal, state or local taxes as may be required to be withheld under any Applicable Law. You agree to report the value of the benefit or payment you receive from Polygon Labs to all applicable legal and local authorities, and complete any required tax forms that Polygon Labs requests be completed prior to receiving your benefit or payment.
9. GENERAL
Polygon Labs may, without or without notice, revise these PIP Bounty Terms, including any benefits or payments, and publish amended versions thereof from time to time. Your participation or continued participation in the PIP Bounty Program constitutes your acceptance of any amendments to these PIP Bounty Terms.
