I am transferring wETH to ETH and currently at the checkpoint stage.
The transaction estimator quotes me $60-70 which is fine given the time of day and activity.
But…when I hit continue and the transaction is generated for my approval the fee shows up as 4x-7x as high as originally estimated.
There is a note that appears stating that the fee is calculated using “legacy gas fees” and it may not be accurate.
Looking at some of the gas estimator websites the fee originally quoted seems to be accurate.
Anyone know what the issue may be?
