Here’s an update on what we’ve been up to for Q1 and Q2 of 2025.

[Discussion] Announcing the First Cohort of the Polygon Delegate Incentive Program (DIP)!

We were chosen to be part the first cohort of the Polygon Delegate Incentive Program (DIP). It is important to mention that these selected participants will be rewarded for their active participation in Polygon governance and their broader contributions to the growth of the Polygon ecosystem, with delegates receiving first access to various IRL Polygon community events.

[Discussion] PIP-64: Validator-Elected Block Producer

We shared a comment on PIP-64 and PIP-65 after reviewing them with our research team. While we acknowledged the proposal’s goal to improve scalability and maintain validator incentives, we raised concerns about increased centralization of block proposals and the lack of anti-MEV measures. We also requested more clarity on how validators would monitor malicious behavior without full nodes, how forced transactions would work in practice, and how stateless validation would be implemented, as it has yet to be proven in production elsewhere.

We want to remind everyone that every week, we’re hosting Polygon Office Hours on Google Meets.

The office hours are held every Friday at 3 pm UTC/ 11 pm EST

During Office Hours, you can reach L2BEAT’s governance team, which consists of Kaereste (Krzysztof Urbanski), Sinkas (Anastassis Oikonomopoulos), and Manugotsuka (Manuel González), and discuss our activity as delegates.

The purpose of the office hours is to gather feedback from the people who have delegated to us, answer any questions about our voting activities and rationale, and collect input on topics you’d like us to discuss.
