Is there a glossary for the polygon terms?

I am getting really confused with stuff like root chain, child chain

i don’t know what these are and i don’t know understand their purpose

is there a good tutorial or introductory documentation, that also serves as a gentle primer for all these terms ?

There is no glossary but there is an extensive wiki that covers all aspects of polygon protocols.
On the top right corner there is also a search bar that you can use to navigate it and find the terms you want to read more about etc.
