Is the slashing implementation in the pipeline?

Hi guys,

I was looking at the Ethereum smart contracts code and I saw there is a SlashingManager and the RootChain has a function slash(). Do you know when you are going to implement the slashing ? Is there a roadmap about this topics ?

Hi!
You are right, there is the option to enable slashing in the L1 contracts but it is not something that is considered currently, as I see conclude based on the lack of discussions and PIPs around that.
Changes as such, fall under the PIP framework PIP-1 and PIP-8 and any community member can participate in the discussions or draft a proposal to kickstart them.
