Introducing Phauna - NFTs for Nature Restoration

Hi everyone!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Sophron, I’m 33 years old, from the Netherlands, and I founded Phauna a month ago.

Introduction to Phauna:

Phauna is a digital brand builder for professional nature photographers, where 70% of proceeds go towards trusted land acquisition and nature restoration projects. NFT holders will enjoy a real nature restoration experience through regular updates featuring local footage of the part of the world they have contributed to restoring.

Problem it solves:

Like many of you, I am deeply concerned about climate change, one of the biggest challenges we face today. Yet, I’ve often hesitated to donate to large organizations. I’ve realized I’m not alone in this sentiment, and here’s why:

  • It feels impersonal, as if I’m simply throwing money over a fence without seeing where it lands.
  • There’s no return or personal value attached to my contribution.
  • I feel disconnected from my contribution - I want to see and feel the difference my donation is making.
  • Lastly, it lacks a sense of joy; contributing should be an uplifting experience.

This is why I created Phauna. Our mission is to tackle these issues head-on, transforming the way we contribute to the fight against climate change.
