Heimdall v0.13.2 released for Mainnet and Amoy

Hello everyone,

We have released Heimdall v0.13.2 for both Mainnet and Amoy. This is the public release of the Karwar hardfork and is functionally identical to v0.13.2-priv. The source code is now public.

Karwar Activation Block

Mainnet: block number 57,006,000, Activation Time (UTC) 2026-11-03 08:54:35, Status: ACTIVATED

Amoy: block number 50,020,000, Activation Time (UTC) 2026-10-23 02:29:16, Status: ACTIVATED

Both networks have already passed their Karwar activation height. Every node must run v0.13.0-priv , or this release. A node still on an older build stopped at the Karwar height. Upgrade the binary and restart heimdalld to resume from there.

What’s included

Gated at the Karwar height:

  • Vote extensions are bounded in size.

  • Checkpoints use canonical signatures.

Not height-gated:

  • Block-sync serving reserves the block size before loading a block.

  • RPC Status / catching_up no longer waits on the consensus lock.

  • Span rotation skips the pending-stall path for pre-Rio bor heads.

  • Go 1.26.10 and dependency bumps.

The release builds against cometbft v0.3.11-polygon and cosmos-sdk v0.2.17-polygon. These replace the vendored copies used by the private builds with the same code.

Upgrade

This is a plain binary upgrade: no config changes, state migration, or resync are required.

No Bor change is required for Karwar. The Bor Uburu hardfork is tracked separately.

Debian packages

Generic amd64/arm64 packages, plus network- and role-specific configuration packages for Mainnet/Amoy and sentry/validator, are attached to the release. Each includes a .checksum, .sig, and .pem file.

Download the Debian package and its matching .checksum file from the official Heimdall v0.13.2 release, then verify the package locally. Replace amd64 with arm64 as needed.

Stop the service, install the package, check the version, and restart:

sudo service heimdalld stop
sudo dpkg -i heimdall-v0.13.2-amd64.deb
sudo /usr/bin/heimdalld version
sudo service heimdalld start

heimdalld version should print 0.13.2.

Container image

Container image version: v0.13.2.

The release page notes that the package and GHCR image builds were still in progress when it was written. Confirm the release assets are attached and the image is pullable before relying on them.
