Hello Node Operators,

We have released Heimdall v0.12.2 for both Mainnet and Amoy.

This release includes:

  • Stability fixes and monitoring improvements over v0.12.2
  • Improved staking nonce retry and restart handling.
  • Rootchain log validation and validator state preservation during genesis export/import.
  • Validator performance queries and new milestone, vote-extension, and Bor RPC metrics.
  • CometBFT v0.3.10-polygon and Cosmos SDK v0.2.16-polygon.

It includes the changes tested on Amoy and the configuration template fix from v0.12.2-beta-2.

Steps to upgrade

  1. Stop heimdall service
sudo service heimdalld stop
  1. Install heimdall with a version tag, network name (mainnet or amoy), and node type (sentry, validator).
# Replace the network and node type
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/maticnetwork/install/heimdall-v2/heimdall-v2.sh | bash -s  v0.12.2 mainnet validator
  1. Check heimdall version
sudo /usr/bin/heimdalld version
# It should print
# 0.12.2
  1. Restart heimdall service
sudo service heimdalld start
