For new tokens, is it make sense to deploy it only on Polygon?

For an NFT project. Do we must have it on the root chain (Ethereum).
Why not keep it only on the chid-chain Polygon?

Today, Polygon is supported by OpenSea and by Wallets. So is it make sense to deploy only the Polygon version of the token?

Do you example for tokens like that?

As a NFT buyer, if I’m asked this question, my answer would be a yes & no…

If i expect the NFT collection to reach large cap billion dollar status, then i would ensure that it’s also on Ethereum. I should have option of interoperability, if not today atleast in future.

But, if the NFT collection is a small cap, then it jus doesn’t matter whether it’s on Ethereum or not.
