Deployed in matic,transfer token matic to goerli without mapping goerli to matic

Hi,
I have deployed a erc20/721 onto matic directly. it has not been ‘mapped’ from ethereum.
If i mint said token on Matic. and transfer to user
Can user burn and exit this token into the ethereum network?
PS. Just a reminder this token and its contract has not been deployed by me on ethereum.

Questions.

  1. Is the above possible.?
  2. Or do i have to get it mapped first from ethereum onto matic?
