CSW #4
Over the past week we announced a new testnet, i.e. CS-2004 with bug fixes for the previous testnet that we encountered. Due to recurring problems on Ropsten testnet, we made a decision to move to Goerli testnet for CS-2004.
Overview:
- Launched CS-2004 with bug fixes and enhancements from CS-2003
- Onboarded 100 validators to the network
- Allowed validators to add themselves as Peer
CS-2004
CS-2004 was the latest testnet in the ongoing Counter Stake program. CS-2004 was a testnet where we were able to onboard 100 validators at a time. The testnet has been running successfully since its launch.
Issues Encountered during CS-2004
We are very happy to inform that there were no major issues that were encountered during CS-2004. All minor issues were Staking UI related and most of them have been solved.
Improvements
We had minor issues on the Staking UI that were reported, such as low uptime, rewards not being visible, etc. Here are the list of improvements that we have made:
- Display Rewards for Validator on Validator profile (My Account)
- Latest checkpoint to be listed first. Chronologically should be the latest first
- Total stake & Self stake is incorrect for delegation on validators.
- Current Heimdall height to be added on the Dashboard
- Latest checkpoint to be listed first. Chronologically should be the latest first
- Increase viewage of checkpoints to 50 by default
- Validator replacement bug
Mini Contests
One of the most important things we were waiting for is to conduct the Mini-contests where all validators get the chance to earn some rewards.
Following are the list of tasks/activities that we will be running during the mini-contests:
Day 1
- Re-stake
- Claim Rewards
Day 2
- Delegate
- Re-delegate
- Un-delegate
- Claim Delegate rewards
Day 3
- Validator Replacement
For completing this task successfully, you will be have to setup your Heimdall and Bor node on a separate machine. Details on token distribution and how to complete this task will be disclosed later.
Day 4
- Validator Signer Change
For completing this task successfully, you will be have to setup your Heimdall and Bor node on a separate machine. Details on token distribution and how to complete this task will be disclosed later.
Day 5
- Un-stake
Thing to look forward to:
- Mini Contests - Further tasks and activities to be conducted during the week
- Initiate Rewards Distribution
- Ankr One-click-setup - Easy setup of Matic Node without going through the pain of installing different components
