Blockworks Advisory leverages the expertise developed at Blockworks Research, a leading institutional-grade crypto research team, to provide comprehensive consulting services. We work with protocol teams and communities, providing strategic guidance to help them drive growth and scalable operations. We work with many protocols including but not limited to: Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Uniswap, Ethena, Solana, Wormhole, and Jito. As of May 2024 we have created one of the most comprehensive data dashboards for Polygon PoS and ZkEVM: https://polygon.blockworksresearch.com/. Additionally, since May 2024 we have sat on all PPGC calls and distilled this information into regular research reports: https://polygon.blockworksresearch.com/research. We have also supported the Polygon Community Grants Program by working with the Polygon Community Treasury Board (CTB) in evaluating applications in the General Grants Track and working closely with the Polygon team and CTB on a transparency report: https://forum.polygon.technology/t/community-grants-season-1-transparency-report/19958.
Delegate Philosophy/Motivation
Blockworks has conducted research on Polygon since 2022 and has seen it as a driving force in the development of Zk technology as a means to create scalable and interoperable blockchains, while being a leader in enterprise adoption. It is for those reasons that Blockworks Advisory has put diligent time and effort into creating the Polygon Protocol Portal, creating regular PPGC reports and supporting the Polygon team and the Polygon CTB on the Community Grants Program. Blockworks Advisory seeks to leverage its expertise developed at Blockworks Research to apply what has worked in other ecosystems and flag what hasn’t in order to participate in growing Polygon and its network of chains.
Key Topics for Polygon
Scaling Polygon PoS/ZkEVM: Protocols like Base are regularly increasing their L2s gas limit to support cheaper transactions for users or Avalanche which is working on ACP-125 to reduce their base fee by 95%. In order to maintain competitiveness, our team feels that it is important for Polygon to priortize performance optimizations for Polygon.
Agg Layer: While many rollup ecosystems are working on interoperability standards, Polygon has already prioritized work on AggLayer, therefore it is important to learn from the successes and mistakes of other interoperability standards such as IBC on Cosmos, ICM on Avalanche, etc.
Community Grants and Incentive Programs to spur ecosystem growth: Polygon already has great dApps, enterprises and financial institutions leveraging its infrastructure but needs to become more competitive with Base, Arbitrum, and Solana in growing its number of champion native dApps. To achieve this, it will be important to run well optimized grants and incentive programs that are actively monitored/
Setting key north stars: It is important for Polygon Governance, Labs and Foundation to be aligned with key north stars to optimize for that best benefit the Polygon community and stakeholders. Determining whether its “Real Economic Value” (REV: Metric created by Blockworks), Productive TVL, or some combination of metrics. By ensuring a clear north star, Polygon Governance can prioritize proposals around efforts that support this north star.

Conflicts of Interest
As mentioned before, Blockworks Advisory works with the following protocols in various capacities: Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Uniswap, Ethena, Solana, Wormhole, and Jito. Blockworks Advisory has also worked with Polygon Labs to create the aforementioned Polygon Protocol Portal, provide regular research reports for PPGCs, and collaborate on the Polygon Community Grants Program. Lastly Blockworks Advisory is a delegate for Arbitrum, Lido, Uniswap, Jito and Wormhole.
