Bor v2.5.6-beta6 and erigon v3.3.6-beta3

Hi all, we have released a new version of bor v2.5.6-beta6 and erigon v3.3.6-beta3 which defines the block number for the Dandeli hardfork on Amoy, at block height 31890000 . The expected times for the hardfork is on Wed, Jan 07, 2026, 12:00 PM UTC . It adjusts the gas target calculations to mitigate gas price spikes and to increase effective network throughput.

Steps for upgrading Bor node

  1. Stop bor service

    sudo service bor stop

  2. Install Bor with a version tag, network name (amoy), and node type (sentry, validator, or archive).

    # Replace the node type
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/maticnetwork/install/main/bor.sh | bash -s -- v2.5.6-beta6 <network> <node_type>

  3. Check bor version

    /usr/bin/bor version

# It should print 
# v2.5.6-beta6

  4. Restart bor service

    sudo service bor start
