Bor v1.4.1 Mainnet and Testnet POS

Hello All,

A new version of Bor v1. 1.4.1 has been released for both Polygon Mainnet and Polygon Amoy Testnet. It is a maintenance release and fixes a security bug. Please upgrade Bor on all nodes to this version at the earliest.

Steps for upgrading Bor node

  1. Stop bor service

    sudo service bor stop

  2. Install Bor with a version tag, network name (mainnet/amoy), and node type (sentry, validator, or archive).

    # Replace the node type
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/maticnetwork/install/main/bor.sh | bash -s -- v1.4.1 <network> <node_type>

  3. Check bor version

    /usr/bin/bor version

# It should print 
# v1.4.1

  4. Restart bor service

    sudo service bor start

What’s Changed

  • Fixed a bug in parallel executor. The bug could possibly cause parallel executor to compute a different block hash from a regular (serial) executor in some rare scenarios.
