Bor v0.3.9-beta Mumbai Release

Hello All,

We are releasing a new version of Bor - v0.3.9-beta for Testnet
The release is marked as pre-release on GitHub and we will mark it as final once ready for Mainnet.

Instructions to Upgrade

Before proceeding, please create a backup of your bor config.toml file as well as password.txt and keystore folder.

  1. Stop bor service

    sudo service bor stop

  2. Install Bor with a version tag, network name (mumbai), and node type (sentry, validator, or archive).

    # Replace the node type
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/maticnetwork/install/main/bor.sh | bash -s -- v0.3.9-beta mumbai <node_type>

  3. Check bor version

    /usr/bin/bor version

# It should print 
# 0.3.9

  4. Restart bor service

    sudo service bor start

Compared to last version v0.3.8-beta , the following features and improvements have been implemented, mostly about security.

This new release contains the new following features:
