Hey everyone!

I’m the Head of Grants at Gitcoin, and I am excited to announce that Polygon is teaming up with Gitcoin to offer 500K MATIC for projects that push the boundaries of Farcaster Frames.

This post is intended to provide details on the program and outline the eligibility requirements for the kinds of builders we would like to see apply.

We’re looking for projects that use Farcaster Frames to create killer consumer apps on Polygon. Think social commerce, NFT experiences, or anything that makes crypto more user-friendly. The key is that it needs to work on both Polygon PoS and as a Farcaster Frame.

Who should apply?

  • Teams with a track record in consumer products
  • Developers with a clear vision for integrating Farcaster Frames
  • Projects that can drive real user adoption and transactions

We’re particularly excited about projects pushing the boundaries in:

How does it work?

We’ve streamlined the process to get from idea to funding as smoothly as possible:

  1. Craft a proposal that showcases your project, team, and roadmap.
  2. Applications should be submitted using this link: https://explorer.gitcoin.co/#/round/137/25
  3. Our team will review each application.
  4. If selected, funding will be released as you hit predetermined milestones. It’s our way of ensuring your project stays on track and delivers real value.

By combining Polygon’s speed and low fees with Farcaster’s social layer and Gitcoin’s community-driven approach, we can create experiences that feel native to Web2 users but pack all the power of Web3.

It’s time for an update on our Farcaster Frames Grant Program thru Week 37! We’re cooking up some serious innovation here, and things are heating up fast! :fire:

Quite a few other teams are in active discussions with us around the review and approval of their applications, and we anticipate that all available funds will be allocated to grantees by end of September.
