Announcement: Upcoming zkEVM Mainnet Beta Eggfruit Upgrade (Fork ID 11)

The Polygon zKEVM Mainnet Beta, Eggfruit upgrade will see the cdk-erigon Sequencer Go LIve, The Eggfruit upgrade includes a new, performance-optimized sequencer that will play a crucial role not only in Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta, but all chains built with Polygon CDK as well. With this upgrade, the
legacy node will be deprecated. While version v0.7.0-fork11 will remain compatible, it is strongly recommended that all partners transition to using Erigon as the RPC node.

The network will experience a downtime that would last throughout the duration of the upgrade as specified above ( 2 hours approximately)
Upgrade Time Lock compliance:
The 10-day timelock for upgrading Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta was initiated today, Friday 20th September, 2024, that will conclude on September 30th, 2024. The upgraded contract can be checked here.
What does this mean for infrastructure providers
Infrastructure providers responsible for maintaining the Polygon zkEVM network will need to update to the latest versions once the upgrade is live on mainnet, but they can start with the preparations using cdk-erigon v1.2.22
