PIP-4: Validator Performance Management

Will the vote be accepted if less than half of the validators participate?
At the moment there are only 28 votes

In addition to Mat’s comments:
Part C in relation to “Irregular joining” is not retrospective. It is for future situations.
Polygon simply can’t secure itself against every possible potential for irregular joining (although we are working to ensure most ways are stamped out). This part would then give the ability to offboard if those situations arise.

Hey @everstake_masha,

Yes, the vote will be considered legitimate as long as the “accept” votes outweigh the “reject” votes.

The proposal doesn’t have a required quorum assigned to it, and to provide some further context - the only quorum currently required across Polygon decision-making is that of the Heimdall gov module at 33%.

Hi we are a node operator from Latin America and we are looking to become a validator on Polygon. What phase of the Part C is in process right now?

I’m not part of the poylgon governance team, but i think they are working on permission-less admission framework.
You can check their update in polygon discord #validators-fullnodes-announcements channel, but tl;dr is the they will evaluate based on 3 pillors : Experinence, Expertise and Stake.
